Maybelline Color Show Blue Marks the Spot
Hello, everyone! I am so sorry for my absence! Life has been rather crazy, but luckily it's been crazy in a good way. I got engaged on July 5th to my boyfriend of two years and we've been enjoying the summer as best we can given the temperamental and unpredictable weather we're having in Maine.
The never ending humidity has made regular manicures very difficult (ugh, air bubbles and sticky polish!) but enough is enough. Time to get back to business.
Today I have Maybelline Color Show Blue Marks the Spot to show you. This color looks amazing in the bottle, sort of a denim with a mix of black and white matte glitters in varying sizes. Upon application, however, I found the base was very sheer.
I decided to layer it over Sally Hansen Pacific Blue, which is considerably brighter than the blue base for Blue Marks the Spot. Luckily, after applying two layers, Blue Marks the Spot muted Pacific Blue just a touch so I ended up with a color somewhere between the two.
I'm absolutely in love with this polish. It's very eye catching and the application was a breeze. The glitters are suspended in the base perfectly and I didn't have to do any digging at all to catch them. I found two coats to be just the right amount of glitter.
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! I promise not to vanish again!
