Distressed Lace
Today's mani actually started out as a mistake. Instead of stripping it and starting over I decided to play around and see if I could salvage it.
This is the result.
I first painted my nails black using L.A. Colors Circuits. After, I attempted to water marble over it using Essie No Place Like Chrome and Essie Marshmallow. That didn't work, however. My water marbling was being finicky and it was nearly impossible to swirl the colors together. I managed to get some of the color onto my nails but the result was splotchy and strange. It didn't look awful but it wasn't anything worth showing off.
I didn't want to waste the effort so I decided to stamp over it. I used the lace stamp off of Bundle Monster plate 323. Each nail was randomly stamped twice, once in silver and once in black. I used Wet n Wild Ebony Hates Chris and Essie No Place Like Chrome.
I was surprised by the result. I quite like this!
It just goes to show you that some mistakes can be salvaged with a bit of creativity.
