1980s Inspired Rainbow Grunge

I blame this one on the fact that my boyfriend has been listening to 80s music all day. So, in a way, this manicure was brought to you by Journey, Stix and Survivor.

I started this manicure with two coats of Sally Hansen White On in order to achieve brightness of neon proportions.

Next I gathered up some brights. I used Sinful Colors Cream Pink, Wet n Wild On a Trip, Sally Hansen Model Behavior and Nicole by OPI One Time Lime. I applied each onto a small area of my nail being careful not to overlap them too much as I didn't want to muddy the colors.

After allowing everything to dry completely I applied a layer of black polish. I used L.A. Colors Circuts. While it was still nice and wet I dabbed it with a wad of crinkled up saran wrap. The result was this delicious 1980s inspired rainbow grunge!

Finally, I applied a generous top coat using Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat.

I'm completely in love with this!

    1. Thank you! I think the trick is to not over do it. Too much fussing and you'll remove not only the top layer but also what's underneath it. I learned that the hard way.
